great headlamp
That is a great product , ofc its a little heavy compare to small cheap headlamp , but so powerfull , strong and clear light , well built , that is an awsome product ! come with 3 filter , red/green/flood , 2 strap , usb cable , and a great battery

Strion cylindrical 2600mah vs SL-B26 2600mah battery confusion! (solved, both batteries work)
Initially I had written a quite confused review because I received the headlamp and the advertised battery compatibility seemed to not work, I was about to return it when I decided to do more research on the Streamlight website itself (they make the light so they’d know best) and it turns out that my confusion was unfounded.IMO my initial confusion about this headlamp having a Micro-USB port instead of the now nearly ubiquitous USB-C port for charging the included battery is still valid, they’re selling this in 2025 and there’s (to my knowledge) still no 1000 lumen offering from Streamlight that has a USB-C charging port *and is also compatible with the SL-B26 Li-Ion battery* which I have standardized a lot of my flashlights on using. I don’t like having a bunch of flashlights that all take different kinds of batteries, and since so many of Streamlight’s products use 2600mah Li-Ion cells, I did research and picked out the one that’s the most common, which is the SL-B26. The older SL-B26 batteries had Micro-USB ports but the newer ones I have bought as spares now have USB-C, so why can’t this headlamp itself get a hardware revision that *only* replaces the Micro-USB for a USB-C port?…Anyways, charging port obsolescence aside, this light performs as I expected it to, it throws a beam of light a great distance on High without the diffuser attached, it spreads a wide and soft beam on Low with the diffuser attached (which is still IMO a great way to use this headlamp, sure it might seem like overkill if you’re not using it on High but on Low or Medium the battery lasts a nice long time, probably a full work day on Low if you’re under cars changing oil or something like that).(Confusion correction follows):I did some more research, followed by trying it for myself, and I can confirm that this headlamp *IS COMPATIBLE* with the SL-B26 USB-rechargeable 2600mah Li-Ion battery with the singular functional issue being that you can not charge that battery while it is located inside the battery compartment of this headlamp. When using the light, both the included Strion “needs to be in the headlamp to be charged” cylindrical 2600mah Li-Ion battery and the SL-B26 operate identically, and as far as I can tell they deliver identical performance (brightness, runtime, etc). Hot batteries are a non-issue even under extended use, aside from a small amount of heating because of being close to the LED heatsink (which is the aluminum housing of the entire headlamp). The SL-B26 will seem like a poor fit in the battery compartment (too loose), but the springs are engineered so that they properly support the battery in the center of the compartment with no fine adjustment or “fiddling” needed, just put the battery in positive side first and screw on the battery compartment cap. The springs that hold either kind of battery will take care of the rest.(confusion that I had is retained below for reference and posterity):First off, this must be an older headlamp, because the one I got still had a Micro-USB port on it for charging, where I expected it to have the now nearly universal USB-C port.Secondly, if the fact that this headlamp doesn’t use the SL-B26 USB-rechargeable 2600mah Li-Ion battery does not matter to you, you may safely ignore the rest of this review, I’m sure this headlamp is a great product, it just doesn’t fit my (admittedly possibly strange) requirements.I bought this headlamp because I have 2 other Streamlight brand flashlights that both take the SL-B26 USB-rechargeable Li-Ion battery. This is a great battery because it is *extremely similar* to “just a normal protected button top 18650 li-ion battery”, and those will in fact work anywhere the SL-B26 works in Streamlight flashlights.I have 9 SL-B26 batteries right now, and I store them in an “ammo can” style case designed to safely store 18650 batteries in a way that makes them impossible to touch each other and potentially short out.This headlamp that I am writing a review for does not use the SL-B26 USB-rechargeable Li-Ion battery, and since the issue of being able to swap out batteries quickly was the entire reason I bought this headlamp, I will be returning it. I don’t have time to wait for the battery in this flashlight to charge if I’m using it and it goes dead, I don’t have money to buy multiple headlamps to make sure I always have one ready to swap out if/when the other one runs out of charge, and I don’t have money or space to keep another kind of battery on hand *specifically and only* for this headlamp, plus I’d still need at least one more headlamp anyways to act as a charger for the spare batteries, because the battery for this headlamp can not be charged while it is removed from the headlamp.
