I’ll never go back to pex crimp fittings after using this thing. This tool, along with pex-a tubing and expansion fittings are the bee’s knees.One of the hot water copper lines in our house developed a random leak under the slab. Never have dealt with that before in any house we’ve owned. So, my only options were to bust the slab up and repair the line, or abandon the leaking line and run a new pex-a line off the hot water manifold up and over through the attic and down to our master bath. Naturally, I opted for the latter, along with insulating the line in the attic.I did a bunch of research on this tool and the Milwaukee M12, and ultimately decided on the DeWalt. The tool is like any of my other DeWalt tools I have, meaning it feels like a quality tool and performs great. The tool is balanced well, and it expands the pex-a tubing and expansion collar flawlessly.The tool is dang pricey, but after watching countless videos on YouTube and reading reviews on pex-a vs pex-b and crimp fittings, I opted for the DeWalt expansion tool and to replumb with pex-a. The money spent was well worth it as I have complete confidence in the install. Once again, this tool and pex-a expansion fittings are the way to go.
