Bosch’s compact powerhouse!
I’ve used the 1/2 full-sized Profactor impact for a few months, so when I had the opportunity to test out the more compact GDS18V-350N, I couldn’t pass it up. AT 410 ft. lbs of break away torque, I’ve been zapping caliper bracket bolts, suspension hardware, and lugnuts with ease. Paired with my 8ah battery, I found myself using it more often than the larger one since I seem to be able to handle most day-to-day tasks just as well. The bigger battery does make it a bit bottom-heavy, since otherwise this is a small and lightweight powerhouse. This tool stands out with its brushless motor, ergonomic design, and smart features like ABR (Auto Bolt Release). When ABR is on, the tool will stop rotation once it feels like the nut/ bolt has broken loose – in my field of work, this can prevent flying hardware or thread damage. Attached a video, one with ABR on removing a lugnut so you can see how smoothly it comes to stop and quickly back it out!Overall, the BOSCH GDS18V-350N is a fantastic choice for professionals and DIYers needing a compact, reliable impact wrench for mid-torque applications like automotive repair. However, this is a bare tool, which means you will need a battery and a charger! It’s much easier to recommend if you are already invested in the BOSCH line of tools, but if you’re not, then you should research if this tool line is right for you. In my short yet constant time with this wrench, I’ve found it to be a durable, easy-to-use, functional, and versatile addition to any toolkit.

Perfect for automotive work
It was time to replace my struts on my 3 series and so this was the first tool I reached for. It was the perfect tool for the job and it performed excellently. I was a mechanic for years and usually relied on my air tools, but I find that good cordless tools are an improvement, since I don't have to wait for (and listen to) the compressor.It easily removed the lug bolts and it breezed through the suspension bolts with plenty of torque to spare. It's compact size made it great for fitting into tight spaces in the wheel well and it's light weight made it easy to fully extend my arm and still have good control. The speed settings are really nice for getting bolts back in with control, but I'm still not a fan of the auto bolt release feature that this and other impacts have, but at least it can be turned off. The battery life is great. I just had a 2 AH battery on it and it lasted the whole job and had plenty of life left. I don't have any AmpShare batteries to know how they would work, but seeing how it did with a small battery, it could only get better. This feels like a typical high-quality Bosch tool and it is for a decent price, so I definitely recommend it.
