Power in a small package
Pros:-Good power output in a small package. The body size is similar to m12. But it’s a 20volt the closest competitor m18 fuel is close to 1 inch longer. Only time under 5” is a good thing-High output no joke torque specs. I tested out the power on a 22mm mounting bolt that’s spec at 148lbs. No struggle to remove. Only took 1-2 ugga dugga to knock it free.-Quiet for an electric impact. Most small impact make and ungodly loud noise when in hammer mode.-Price it’s cheaper than the m18 fuel lineNow the Cons:-The battery sticks out pass the beginning of the anvil. Yes it’s on an angle, you can get close to flat surface. it’s still in the way sometimes with shallow sockets.-Size is also the limitation. Like any small hammer system it will output the torque it’s rated but you need to have high quality sockets. Any extension or looseness from bad fitting sockets will dramatically cut the applied torque down. I’ve measured over 50% loses from well used sockets. I tested the same socket on a m18 fuel 3/8 drive and it out performed it.Concussion: It’s not the perfect for automotive use but you won’t get more power in the same size. Just understand the limitations of it’s size and don’t try using it for thing it can’t achieve. Like taking out a bell house bolt with extension and swivel sockets stacked together, at an angle. Highly recommend buying. And if you’re a tech Mac truck deals with Delwalt as well. Just don’t buy the Mac version until they update the model. As of the writing of this review it’s 1 generations behind.
