Excellent Quality and Value
I received this tool set about a month ago to test out and I have already used it on about a dozen projects and am thoroughly impressed with every aspect of it.Aside from a couple of different screwdrivers and pliers you might need when making a repair, this kit has pretty much everything in one set to do small to big jobs.One of the best features about it is being able to grab this one set and take it to where you need it as one unit instead of needing two different size socket/ratchet sets, plus metric and SAE sets, wrench sets, digging out deep-well sockets out of the toolbox, extensions, spark plug sockets, etc., … they’re all in this one set.The ratchets are very smooth to operate and do not need much room to get movement out of them if you are working in tight spaces (which is almost always) and they do not skip when you are first starting out with them.With the multiple extensions and every imaginable type of socket from the drive type, to the depth, MM or SAE, you can work on almost anything and custom combine the right extensions you need to get into tricky areas.The best example of this was replacing the water pump on a 2003 GMC Sierra…It has a mix of SAE and metric, different size bolts on the same pump, some hard to get to and all of them hard to remove (so you need a heavy-duty ratchet) and I was able to do the entire job with this one tool set, a pair of slip joint pliers and a flat head screwdriver.Gunmetal chrome is very durable and easy to clean and is easy to identify versus other tools so you can keep the set separate and not get mixed up with other tools.All of the ratchet/socket components lock together great, so they do not come off when working in tight areas or cause you to drop a socket down in the engine compartment or under the vehicle, rolling across the shop floor.Over the past several years, I’ve spent about the same amount of money as this set costs buying multiple cheap ratchet/socket sets that were nothing special and some already broken or don’t work good, and in hindsight, should’ve just invested in a set like this a long time ago.I would put the quality and function of these tools up against any of the big “tool truck” tools at a fraction of what those cost.Completely satisfied with this set, especially since it has a brand that I recognize and trust versus some of the off-name tools that are on the web.It was also shipped and received fast, so you can order it today and put it to work tomorrow.5- Stars!
