Review For Uberlegen:I needed an insulated torque wrench for a battery bank installation, and was concerned that it might not arrive in time for the job- my local suppliers were quoting at least a week. Ordered from Uberlegen via Gamazone on Monday, needed it by the following Monday. Arrived less than 72 hours after ordering. Will 100% do business with this company again.Review for the Insulated Torque Wrench: (Knipex Insulated Torque Wrench, Model 98 33 50)I’m a big fan of Knipex tools, as their quality is second to none, and this torque wrench is no exception.Some others have complained about the design of the reversing mechanism on this torque wrench, and I can see the reason for the complaint- this torque wrench does not use a standard throw lever to reverse the locking pawl on the wrench; instead, the 3/8″ square drive is removed from the torque wrench, and inserted the opposite direction. Thing is, this is an ideal setup for when you’re working in an arc-flash suit, with insulated gloves on; you can easily make torque setting adjustments and reverse the mechanism, all without having to remove your insulated gloves.Big thanks to Uberlegen for getting this torque wrench to me as quickly as they did, at a price none of their competitors could beat.

Excellent torque wrench, the click is a bit soft at lower torque. I’ve used this in several power installations and it works well. The scale is easy to read. The only thing I don’t like is the head mechanism. You have to loosen the screw fastener to pull out the 3/8 shaft and insert in the opposite direction to reverse. I hope they can make an insulated design with a permanently mounted drive shaft.Much cheaper than Grainger.
