Perfect for small design work
I love the combination of scales this offers in one well made rule. Like everything Mitutoyo I’ve bought thus far, the quality is excellent for the price. I much prefer decimals to fractions for most custom design work as I find them just more convenient. Whatever denominator I start with winds up being split later on then requires more work than necessary with conversion making it easy to loose whatever values I had memorized thus far. Decimals don’t do that to me — they’re always easy.That said, with this rule I can work in imperial with 10ths, 100ths or 50ths (much easier on older eyes) or metric in cm, mm or 1/2 mm. The metric was my primary reason for buying this rule, but the flip side is convenient and makes this my “go to” rule for this size work.Markings are very clear and are registered very accurately to the rule’s end. It’s stainless so it should stay that way too. If you run a finger nail down the markings you can feel the slight cut/impression at each so the markings should also be durable.I’ve tossed out rules in the past because they failed to instill trust. Not this one!

Perfect pocket scale for a machinist
A good mix of measurements with Standard on one side and metric on the other. The measurement are easy to read and will not wear out easily.
