This is a cool headlamp with a decidedly military look about it. I believe the US Army uses this lamp. IT has white, red, blue and IR settings. There is a strobe feature as well. I bought the headband to go with it, but the clip on the light provides many mounting options. Very high quality and durable.

Due to the photograph of this product, I thought I was getting a Compact II and not a Compact I. Nifty little light, and as tough and sturdy as the right angle originals before it. CR123 batteries are kind of expensive for one, and harder to come by, and the battery life per battery is far less than the larger Sidewinder, which is why I’m dissapointed that It looked like the Sidewinder II which takes CR123 AND the more availaible and cheaper AA batteries too. I’m almost too scared to use it now because of this battery issue and how I feel I was misled from the picture up there.
